Thanks to you and the #MEAction community, Bill A7712B/S6928B, which provides for a myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) education and outreach program in New York, passed both the New York State Assembly and Senate and was signed into law by Governor Kathy Hochul on June 30, 2022.

As a follow-up to our Sunday Conversations on Functional Medicine, Dr. Andrew Lenhardt, of Complex Health Solutions, in Beverly, MA has offered our readers the opportunity to use his RootFinder Assessment at no cost. His purpose is to collect data on the incidence of different root causes in a self-identified ME population. While the analysis you receive will be specific to you, the data will be anonymized by Dr. Lenhardt.

It takes about 10-15 minutes and when it asks for your predominant health problem, you should choose Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. When you complete the process, the predictions will be sent immediately to the email you provide. Dept. Of Labor Updates Information On ME/CFS For Workers, Employers

#MEAction: The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) has updated the information on ME/CFS provided at its Job Accommodation Network website to align with the most current CDC guidance. This action will help workers and employers find accurate information on ME/CFS and combat stigma and improve workplace outcomes.

The 2022 IACFS/ME Conference is now virtual and registration has opened. The conference will take place from Wednesday, July 27th to Saturday, July 30th, 2022 and is geared towards researchers and health care professionals, although patients and caregivers are welcome to attend.
